Funding Considerations

  *Please note: We only fund projects for one year at a time

Funding consideration for Research and Technical Assistance will include:

° Applied, Policy and Evaluation Research

° Pilot Studies

° Needs Assessment Studies/Surveys

° Technical Assistance to improve or expand agency capacity to serve older people

Funding consideration for Education and Training will include:

° Training for persons who deliver services of manage programs for older people

° Resource Centers as clearinghouses of information and services for older people

° Development of curriculum on aging issues

° Programs that enable older people to make contributions to society

Funding will generally NOT be provided for :

° Building or construction expenses

° Operating expenses of established agencies

° Endowment campaigns or fund drives

° Scholarships, except through an established program for senior students

° Biomedical research

° Organizations which discriminate based on age, race, color, creed, or sex
