Durham Policies and Procedures

  The H.W. Durham Foundation's mission is to enrich and improve the quality of life for Older Citizens and their communities. 

The Foundation promotes independence and individual autonomy for older people living at home or in institutions.

Through its grants, the Foundation:

• 1. Provides opportunities for older persons to remain productive
• 2. Improve the quality of life for older persons, and,
• 3. Enables older persons to enrich the life of their communities.

The Foundation provides seed money to start new programs, to develop new models which demonstrate better ways to provide services, and to expand or improve services offered by established agencies. Funding for research, technical assistance, education and training will be considered in those program areas consistent with the Foundation's mission.
